Wondering

I sit here wondering if I am ready for Christmas. The kids have reminded me that I only have 6 days left. (that can't be right) I have put everything off until now. I only have half of what wanted to do, done. I had spent most of my time with the Sweet 16 party I haven't had time to focus on Christmas shopping. I don't even know what I need to shop for.
I am in a panic!
One good thing is I got my tree up and decorated. Yay ME!

Isn't it Sweet to be Sixteen!

3rd Place

This Saturday Devin got 3rd place in wrestling. The kid in this round was like a gorilla, so you can guess how this one ended. That would be him all twisted on the bottom. It was lot more fun to watch then I thought it was going to be. You know 100 smelly, sweaty boys rolling around on a mat did not sound like it was something I wanted to witness, but it was very entertaining. I am more of a football kind a gal. I think I can expand my horizons though and get into the wrestling thing too.

"Sweet Sixteen"

I can hardly believe it myself. My little baby girl is dating. Aahhhhhhh! She already has her first date Saturday afternoon. I over heard John telling his sister that we have had to start an appointment book so that she can keep track of all of her dates, because the boys will be knocking on the door non stop. (oh Heaven help me if that ever becomes a fact) I think I am feeling more anxiety with this then with the driving thing. It is happening way to fast.
She is having a BIG party to celebrate on Saturday with her friends here at the house.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDRIANA!

Ahhh, home agian!

We are back from a very long week without our Internet. Man talk about not being able to breath. It nearly killed me not knowing what was going on. How I ever got along with out it I will never understand. John wanted the office in a different room and well needless to say all kinds of things went wrong and hence no Internet.

Update on the the DaSilva's is this, Tamye and her family spent Thanksgiving with us for a whole 4 days. I know... it was heaven on earth. I had fun kicking back taking it easy, well not totally easy we did do the 4:00am Black Friday thing and went all day until we had nothing more to give. Then we spent the rest of the weekend laughing and getting on our husbands nerves with our loud cackling (as they call it) It was worth every minute. We then did a photo shoot out in Dona Ana and took some family pics. It was fun and I am very pleased with what was taken. Thanks Sis. Then we said our sad good byes and look forward to the next visit which is on the 12th Audriana's 16th birthday. We are having a party like she has never had before. I have made 100 invitations for her to hand out to her friends, and she thinks she may need more.....

Anyway I have hired a DJ and cleaned the yard and still working on my house. John said he should have my hall bathroom finished by this weekend. Cross your fingers, I know I will be.

Because she won't post, I will!

Teresa's Sister here. You know the pretty one.

Because it has been weeks since she has done a decent post, I have decided to do it for her. This last week she has been without internet due to a System update that went badly. Here is what is going on at the DaSilvas: (at least what I know)

TURKEY:

This last week Teresa bought a 22 lb Turkey. That's right 22 POUNDS! Can you say leftovers? anyway.... Upon arriving home and attempting to shove the GIANT bird into their Freezer they discovered it just wasn't going happen. So My dear Sister, thinking it would take a week for the main dish of our Thanksgiving dinner to thaw completely, put it in the refridgerator. Well 3 days later it was totally thawed. NOW WHAT? I guess it will be nuked Turkey next Thursday!

At least we won't have to get up at 5am to put it in the oven and we can eat whenever we like!

SICKNESS:

I just heard Devin is not feeling well Today, so Get Well wishes are sent his way!

TWILIGHT:

Last night Teresa, Devin, Audriana and a few of the kids friends went to see Twilight!!! Crazy people! (like why didn't they go when I did, At midnight with all the other crazy insane women?)

I haven't talked to her yet today so I have no idea what their review on it is. I however Loved it, you have to seperate yourself from the book and accept it won't be exactly the same and then you can enjoy it.

Hmm what else?

HAIR:

Jenna is getting her hair cut today. (And I am sure she will look dazzling)

Ok now I am reaching for news to post. Why won't she answer her phone? For heavens sake I am having withdrawls!!!!! Ok I'm going to go so I can try calling her again. and again and again.

*An update:
Turkey: Apparently the Turkey has been cooked and another has been purchased for cooking on Thanksgiving day. So much for sleeping in....
Twilight: Teresa and Devin Loved it, Audriana thought it was ok and Josue thought it was Stupid. So there you go, I guess you will have to see it for yourself to decide! ]
Hair: Jenna is reported to look "Fabulous!"
Sick: Well I forgot to ask about Devin, I'm sure he is fine though. Happy Blogging!

This is as good as it gets!

Senor DaSilva has returned from is 6 day hunting trip with his buddies. When I asked if he had fun he replied I had a blast, I really enjoyed myself. I then asked for the camera so I could down load the photos so we could see just how good of a time he had. With a bit of sadness in his voice he said that the camera wasn't working, so I didn't get to take any pictures of our great week.

That being said I have to assume that I needed to paint my own picture of this great camping trip. I am sure that he would agree that it couldn't have gotten any better then this. Well... except maybe actually bring home the buck that they said they were going to get. Oh well at least they had a blast!

Went all out!

John went all out this year, it was so sad when he only had 8 trick or treaters. Well he said that was also counting the two adults that came with the kids. I guess that is one of the disadvantages of living in such a remote area.

This is what Senor DaSilva was during the day.

And a Knight at Night. (ha ha)

Jenna was a little upset on the quantity of candy she got. We went to do the Mall thing this year and was very disappointed. Next year we are going to hit the Hurst's neighborhood Devin went over there with Sara and Madison and they made a killing.

Ward fall party

Last night was our ward fall party. We had a great turn out with the ward members. The kids had tons of fun getting ready for the party. See if you can guess who is who and or what the who has gone as. Check later for new updates on the Halloween festivities. John has gone all out for his favorite Holiday.

Taking care of business!

Tamye and I took a trip to Wyoming to check out all of the places that we would like to have our family reunion this coming summer. It was lots of fun with it being fall, seeing that we don't get to wear our coats to often here in the south.

We took a trip out to the farm.

Stopped at our favorite Maverik for a diet coke. (everyday)

While driving in our RIDE!
Yeah! it was a little much I know, we turn a lot of heads in Lovell, being that there are not many H3's that are yellow in a town of about 2,500 people.

We got to bring our little Stering with us. He was so cute we have to over look the fact that he is 2 and has way more energy that us. The plane ride was a real treat for Tamye.

Hanging out!

Stopped at the Lockheart ranch in Dryhead. We are going to spend part of our reunion here.
Tons of history here with the family.

The Ranch

Stopped by to see Mom and put some new flowers.
We got to spend a lot of time with our Aunt Polly (mom's sister) and eat all of her great cooking. We stopped in Cody and did some shopping and visiting family. It was nice to be home. I can't hardly wait until July for the reunion with the rest of the family.

Our Knights of the Round Table was a huge success and everyone had fun. Check out our blog to see more photos of the kids and decorations. www.knightsofroundtable.blogstop.com It was a lot of work but worth every minute just to see the looks on the faces of the teenagers when they saw the trouble we went to just for them. Our 12 foot knight was a real sight to see (he was so cool)

New project

I have started a new project, one I thought would be relaxing but have now found that it is NOT. It started out as a Christmas gift for Tamye ( a lap blanket)but I am now thinking that she may only get two really pretty throw pillows. I will keep trying but I just don't think I am cut out for this type of crafting. It is truly a skill I need help with. If it ever gets completed I will be sure to post the final project. ........... Audriana just called me a quitter, so I guess I will try harder. (BRAT!)
