While my sister Tamye was here last week we took two of my old dinning room table chairs and sprayed them red. Tamye took one home so she could use it for her photo taking. I kept the other and have now hand painted it, so as to match my new theme for our living area. I am very excited at how it turned out. I can't hardly wait for it to dry so I can take it in and start using it.

Count Down
John is off to see his family soon and it is killing me. I know he needs to go see them but I still don't have to like it. Right? I told him he should just fly there give his mom a great big kiss and hug and then turn around and come home. That way he would only be gone for 3 days. But no he thinks he needs to see his dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa, aunts blah, blah, blua ..... what ever. Do I sound bitter? I know I need to just get over it, he did pay $1,400 for his ticket to go and it is non refundable....., but still I will be so sad while he is gone. I told him next time we are going with him, so to start saving.

Things to celebrate in 2009
I have been thinking about all of the things that we should celebrate for our new year and have thought of a long list of things. Here are are my top ten:
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Happiness
4. Laughter
5. A good cry
6. Success
7. My new table (you should see it)
8. Chocolate (yum)
9. Ice cream
10. Our unlimited text plan with Verizon
Yes texting! Believe it or not our daughter made,... I kid you not 3,856 text messages over a 2 week Christmas break. Um hum it's true! And this is why I am celebrating.
KIDS, I tell you.

"Sweet Sixteen"
I can hardly believe it myself. My little baby girl is dating. Aahhhhhhh! She already has her first date Saturday afternoon. I over heard John telling his sister that we have had to start an appointment book so that she can keep track of all of her dates, because the boys will be knocking on the door non stop. (oh Heaven help me if that ever becomes a fact) I think I am feeling more anxiety with this then with the driving thing. It is happening way to fast. She is having a BIG party to celebrate on Saturday with her friends here at the house.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDRIANA!

Ahhh, home agian!
We are back from a very long week without our Internet. Man talk about not being able to breath. It nearly killed me not knowing what was going on. How I ever got along with out it I will never understand. John wanted the office in a different room and well needless to say all kinds of things went wrong and hence no Internet.
Update on the the DaSilva's is this, Tamye and her family spent Thanksgiving with us for a whole 4 days. I know... it was heaven on earth. I had fun kicking back taking it easy, well not totally easy we did do the 4:00am Black Friday thing and went all day until we had nothing more to give. Then we spent the rest of the weekend laughing and getting on our husbands nerves with our loud cackling (as they call it) It was worth every minute. We then did a photo shoot out in Dona Ana and took some family pics. It was fun and I am very pleased with what was taken. Thanks Sis. Then we said our sad good byes and look forward to the next visit which is on the 12th Audriana's 16th birthday. We are having a party like she has never had before. I have made 100 invitations for her to hand out to her friends, and she thinks she may need more.....
Anyway I have hired a DJ and cleaned the yard and still working on my house. John said he should have my hall bathroom finished by this weekend. Cross your fingers, I know I will be.
