This past weekend was spent with our youngest up at a cabin in Ruidoso, NM Jenna and I got to go shopping at all of the fun stores and found some fantastic things to add to our wish list of things we just don't really need but have to have. We then finished off our day of shopping with Ice Cream, mind you it was 52 degrees at the time, but it was oh so yummy! We then headed back to the cabin to meet up with Dad and then we made hot coco and wrapped up in front of the TV for an evening of movies. Needless to say we had a blast!

A Month to Remember
This is the month that we remember everyone we love and loved. Mostly I remember my sweet Mother and her fight with Breast Cancer. I hope that we all are doing our part in keeping the study for the cure going. I would like to to send out my love to all of my friends that are survivors. For all of the courage and determination they have for life. May we all try to do our part with never ending diligence and love for life.

High School, Good times!
And Audri's first game she got to march with the band. She now plays the flute, along with her violin. WHAT A NUT! It is so like her though. She looks so cute in her little outfit.

Varsity Retreat
This was so fun to watch each group had to make a hat out of a sheet of paper and then the had to show everyone the hats in a skit. They have such great the imaginations.
We sit on the porch and watch the kids do group activity.
These are the kids. What a terrific group of youth we have this year. We had people stop and listen to them play. Very Cool!

Here they are doing a cooperation game, where they have to all walk at the same time without falling down. They did really well.
This was a fun three days in the woods in a cabin up North. Everyone that went had a blast. The kids learned how to work together and I got to know some of the kids better. Kathy Dalahon is an amazing teacher.

Pondering the great things in life!
As I sit here and think about all of the great things I have in my life I think about all of the people that make me ME. I often wonder if without them if I would be who I am today. I think not. There so many that I don't even know where to begin. Lets see......
1. My family with out Joao and the kids it would be a very boring life. They give me purpose to why I do what I do. They make me proud and happy to be their mom and wife. They are always doing their best to succeed in everything they do. They have the special gift in bring smiles to my face. They put up with my mood swings and still love me beyond measure. What more can I ask for?2. My sister and best friend Tamye. Dang, without her I don't know how I could make it through a day. All of our many conversations that we have throughout one afternoon. Mind you we live 300 miles away from each other. We had to get a phone plan that would only cost us penny's to talk as much as we do. She always know the right things to say even when I don't want to hear it. (brat!) and she is always there to help me out on everything, even if she has to drive all the way here to do it.
3. My brother in-law Daniel, where do I begin? He is a great man with so much to offer. I don't think he realizes the impact he has on our little family. He is always willing to do things for us that I am sure most in-laws would find to be a burden, but yet there he is. He doesn't know this yet but he is Mormon through and through. (don't tell him I said that) hehe!
4. My Dad......... I can't even see the screen right now my eyes are tearing up right now and everything is a blur. Words can not describe him other then he is always there for me to pick me up. I love him so much.
5. My friends, man what would people do without friends? I love each and everyone of them for making me laugh, cry, listen, talk, share, and of course shop!

Time to celebrate
Yes, it is almost time for our missionary to return home. We are so very excited about seeing him, we can't hardly stand it. He comes home on August 13th at 8:00pm. We are driving to Mesa for the the big home coming at the airport. It seems like the time just flew, but then again it didn't. He sure is a great kid! Can't wait to see you Dallin.

You know it's time to do the laundry When..........
This morning I woke up to discover that I was down to almost nothing clean to wear. I thought I would have plenty of time to do a load or two before I had to leave the house. Yeah, I wish that was the case.
I got a phone call from Audriana saying that I needed to pick her up from a friends house that she had stayed the night at. I went to my closet and put on the first thing. (Something someone had given me and have never ever worn before, (but it fit, that's what is important right?) I walked out of the room to my 9 year old laughing her head off at my choice of clothing.
I really did not have any other option in what I had to wear so I climbed in the car to pick up Audriana. I pulled up to the curb as she was walking out and she looked at me like 'What the heck mom?' and started laughing. I would show you a photo of the great outfit but Devin took my camera camping. (oh darn, I am sorry you missed it. :)

What a DAY!
Let me begin by saying, that the day did start out very nice. I got up early and was in a good mood. I was going to run a few errands with John stop at the store and all that, when I got a call from Audriana saying that she couldn't find any of the flip flops that had a match. Joking she says "What the heck mom did you walk out the door with two different colored shoes on, I then laughed thinking how silly she was to suggest such a thing. I then looked down and saw that indeed I was wearing two different shoes and had been walking around most of the morning that way. I then made a stop at the Jewelry store to have my wedding ring re sized (due to my now thinner fingers) when John walks in after me to announce that he had lock the keys in the car. I, like a dumb dumb left them in the ignition thinking he was going to stay there. Needless to say I also left my phone in the car and could not remember Audri's cell number so she could help us with opening the van. So $25.00 and an hour later We finally make it home to find that I did remember Audri's cell number. As John says "What a brain of a bird" (humm, that sounds so much better in Portuguese) Anyway live and learn I guess.

Jenna's Beach Birthday Bash!
Jenna just had her 9th Birthday party this last weekend. She got to invite 9 of her friends to come over and play in the water and eat chicken nuggets, pizza rolls and otter pops until they felt like they were going to explode. After a gallons of water, sunburns, over eating and tons of fun everyone went home without injury. (thank goodness) Jenna had a great day celebrating with her friends and later saying the sunburn was worth every minute.
I aim to please! :)

My little "RED" chiar
While my sister Tamye was here last week we took two of my old dinning room table chairs and sprayed them red. Tamye took one home so she could use it for her photo taking. I kept the other and have now hand painted it, so as to match my new theme for our living area. I am very excited at how it turned out. I can't hardly wait for it to dry so I can take it in and start using it.
